Sharon Leslie's Obituary
Sharon Leslie, 85, of Clinton, passed away, Tuesday, June 24, 2025 at MercyOne – Clinton.
Sharon Charlene Morthland was born on April 29, 1940 in Morrison, Illinois, the daughter of Blair and Marcella (Hinton) Morthland. She was a 1958 graduate of Clinton High School. She married Gilbert Leslie on October 9, 1968 in Clinton; he passed away August 19, 2023.
Sharon owned and operated Leslie Electric with her husband for many years. She was a member of the Clinton Country Club, enjoyed visiting the casino with her sister DeMerle, traveling on their motorhome, spending time at the beach house in Destin, Florida, cooking and entertaining, and spending time with her great-grandson: Myles.
Sharon is survived by her children: Dawn (Tim) Harvey, Fred Grams, Kathryn (Rod) Challenger, John Leslie, Mark Leslie, and Marsha Broms; nine grandchildren: Kaitlin (Derek) Ebensberger, Jesse James, Jeffrey (Michele) Levy, Tim Mills, Leslie (Scott) Solberg, Michael Leslie, Theresa Krewinski, Alison Grimstead, and Jill (Dane) Miller; 19 great-grandchildren; her fur baby: Miss Kitty; and her sister: DeMerle (Aaron) Cousins. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, a grandson: Ryan Grams, and three brothers.
Private Funeral Services will be held with burial at the St. Mary’s Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Derek Ebensberger, Jeff Harmon, Bud Mielkey, Tim Harvey and Tim Mills The Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes – Clinton is assisting the family.
In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to the American Cancer Society or the Clinton Humane Society.
