Sharon K. Knutsen's Obituary
Sharon K. Knutsen, 83, of Clinton passed away Thursday, September 19, 2024 at MercyOne - Clinton.
Funeral Services will be 2:00 pm, Thursday September 26, 2024 at the Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes & Crematory. Visitation will be from 12:00 pm until the service time at the funeral home. Burial will be privately held at Oakland Cemetery. Sharon Kay Knutsen was born March 23, 1941 in Iowa City, Iowa, the daughter of Frank and Eldora (Mehlberg) Steffey. She married Michael Knutsen in 1968 in South Carolina; they later divorced. She was a 1958 graduate of Clinton High School. She worked as the Deputy of District Court of Courts in Clinton County for 22 ½ years; retiring in June 2006.
Sharon was an active member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Camanche. She enjoyed church functions, traveling and working the crossword puzzle. She was an animal lover, especially cats.
She is survived by her two sons: Michael (Kathy) Knutsen of Casa Grande, Arizona and Bryan Knutsen of Moline, Illinois; grandson: Garrett Knutsen of Colorado Springs, Colorado; siblings: Debra Fulcher of LeClaire, Iowa and Gary (Sue) Steffey of Princeton, Iowa; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her infant son Mark in 1972, her parents and step-father Gerald Temple.
Memorials may be made to the Clinton Humane Society.
