Sharen K. Stone's Obituary
Sharen K. Stone, 78, of Camanche, passed away, Monday, November 9, 2020 at her home.
Funeral Services will be Noon, Saturday, November 14, 2020 at the Camanche Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes & Crematory. Burial will be in the Shaffton Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Ron Carber Sr., Richard (Moose) Carber, Dave Jensen, Travis Lamberton, Craig Lorenzen and Marc Seibel. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Bob Card and Richard Carber Sr. Visitation will be from 9:00am to the service time Saturday at the funeral home. Sharen Kay Houser was born on October 7, 1942 in Charles City, Iowa, the daughter of Fred and Lenore (Stalker) Houser. She was a 1960 graduate of DeWitt High School. She married Ed “Fuzz” Stone on June 25, 1960 in Low Moor; he died November 22, 2014.
Sharen owned and operated S&K Trucking with her husband and sons. She enjoyed bowling, boating on the river, and going to the casino. Sharen loved all of the holidays, and spending time with her family.
Sharen is survived by her two sons: Jay (Molly) Stone and Lance Stone of Camanche; four granddaughters: Christina Stone, Adrian (James) Eggers, Aarika (Jake Schmitz) Stone, and Lakin Stone; and four great-grandchildren: Nolan and Kassidy Eggers and Brody and Norma Schmitz; her brother: Gordon (Lori Sande) Houser of Rapelje, Montana; and close friends: Travis, Ada, Seanna, Jessyka, Leann & Blake Lamberton. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a sister, and a daughter-in-law.
