Saundra Smoot, 79, of Clinton formerly of Dayton, Ohio passed away Wednesday, August 20, 2025 at Eagle Point Health Care Center - Clinton, Iowa.
Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes & Crematory is honored to care for Saundra. She will be buried with her husband James Smoot at the Dayton Nation Cemetery.
Saundra Roberts was born April 10, 1946 in Dayton, Ohio, the daughter of Ulysses and Carrie (Moore) Roberts. She attended school in Dayton, Ohio and worked at a department store in Dayton for more than 20 years. She enjoyed listening to music, helping at church and her dog Sparky. She was a God fearing woman who loved people and spending time with her family.
She is survived by her son Frederick (Darla) Holcombe of Clinton, grandchildren: Jason, Alivia, Masyn, Avery, Jayvian, Trenton, and Briella; 8 great grandchildren; siblings: Judy (late Howard) Ward, Linda (Michael) Long, Dennis Roberts and Terry Roberts all of Dayton, Ohio; and many nieces and nephews.
Saundra was preceded in death by her husband James Smoot, two brothers: Eugene and Andrew Roberts and granddaughter Kynzlee Holcombe.
