Sandra C. Sterler's Obituary
Sandra C. Sterler, 83, of Clinton passed away Saturday, January 31, 2026 at Eagle Point Health Care Facility.
Her family will gather privately for a celebration of her life on Friday, February 6, 2026 at the Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes & Crematory.
Sandra Carol Travis was born July 5, 1942 in Pocohontas, Iowa, the daughter of Robert and Jeanne (Westfall) Travis. She was a 1960 graduate of Maquoketa High School and then attended Clinton Academy of Beauty. She was married to John Driscoll from 1962-1974, Harold Hosette from 1974-1982; and she married Robert Sterler on September 3, 1988 and he preceded her in death on May 11, 2004.
She worked as a baker at Jewel Osco in Clinton for many years, the Clinton AMVETS Club for 9 years and at Midwest Novelty for 9 years. She was a member of the AMVETS Auxiliary, Eagles Auxiliary, Women of the Moose Lodge #474 and the Red Hats Society in Preston.
Sandra is survived by her three children: Mary (Ron) Dierksen of Clinton; Patrick Driscoll of Clinton and David Driscoll of Delray Beach, Florida; four grandchildren and one sister: Linda Ruchotzke of Miles, Iowa.
She was preceded in death by her parents, three husbands, and brother R. Clark Travis.
