Sandra J. LeQue's Obituary
Sandra J. LeQue, 78, of Camanche, passed away, Saturday, April 11, 2026, at the Alverno after a courageous battle with Alzheimer’s.
Funeral Services will be 4:00pm, Wednesday, April 15, 2026,at the Camanche Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes & Crematory. Visitation will be from 2:00pm to the service time Wednesday at the funeral home. Private burial will be in the Clinton Lawn Cemetery.
Sandra Jean Goldbeck was born on September 10, 1947, in El Reno, Oklahoma, the daughter of Vilas and Clara (Johnson) Goldbeck. She was graduated of Camanche High School. She married Carl LeQue, Sr. on April 16, 1983, in Clinton; he died July 18, 1994.
Sandra was a circulation clerk at the Clinton Herald for many years retiring in 2007. After retirement she would later work in the Camanche Middle School cafeteria serving breakfast. She could always be found working on a project in her sewing room or supporting her grandsons at their events.
Sandra is survived by daughters: Tammie (Richard) Kooi, Teresa (Mark McDonald) Hall, and son: Bill (Stacy) Lodge all of Camanche; grandsons: Brody (McKenna) Lodge of Atkins, Iowa, and Brayden (Paige Manning) Lodge of Dubuque, Iowa; brothers: Larry (Herlina) Goldbeck of DeWitt, Randy (Debbie) Goldbeck of Camanche, and Terry (Christi) Goldbeck of Dubuque. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, and an infant sister.
Sandra’s family would like to extend their appreciation to the staff of the Alverno and Mercy Hospice for their care. In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to The Alverno or the Alzheimer’s Association Iowa Chapter – Clinton County.
