Salvador R. Borja M.D.'s Obituary
Salvador R. Borja, MD, 86, of Clinton, IA, passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his loving family on Thursday, December 14, 2017. A Celebration of Life for Dr. Borja will be held Monday, January 15, 2018 at 10:30AM at Prince of Peace Catholic Church with Father John Stack officiating. The Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig is assisting the family with arrangements.

Salvador Borja was born November 11, 1931 in San Juan La Union, Philippines, the son of Wenceslao and Angela (Rivera) Borja. He was a 1956 graduate of the University of Santo Tomas Philippines. He married Diana Antonides in 1958 in Fords, NJ.
Dr. Borja came to the United States to Perth Amboy, NJ, Youngstown, OH and St. Louis, MO for his internships and residencies. He practiced medicine in Sterling, IL from 1965 to 1973 and in Clinton from 1973 until his retirement in 2001, where he was the Director of Laboratory Medicine and the Clinton County Medical Examiner.
Survivors include his wife, Diana; children, Kathy (Scott) Bartling of Davenport; Kenneth (Jeanne) Borja of Clinton, IA; Kris Borja of Clinton, IA; Kim (Amy) Borja of Houston, TX; Barbara (Jason) Hogan of Dubuque, IA and Robert (Erin) Borja of Madison, WI; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren and brother, Cesar Borja of Skokie, IL.
Dr. Borja was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Elizabeth.
Salvador’s family wishes to extend their deep appreciation to the staff at Clarissa C. Cook and Genesis Home Hospice for the care they provided during the last months of Salvador’s life.
