Ruth L. Woodard, 95, of Camanche, formerly of Ottumwa, Iowa, died Saturday, April 16, 2011 at her home in Camanche. Funeral Services will be 9:00am, Thursday, April 21, 2011 at the First Baptist Church, Clinton with Rev. Ron Lott Read Obituary
To Ruth's family, what a dear lady Ruth was. She shared herself with so many. She will certainly be missed by many, but she is where she always wanted to be, Heaven! I am sure when she got there she heard "good and faithful servant" for she certainly was that. Thank you dear family, for letting so many call her 'gram'. She truly was a big part of so many lives.
It was an Honor to know Grandma Ruth.She brought true meaning of what it was to be a Christian. Soft spoken and wise, During troubled times she had that soothing way about her I would call it Christ like. The calming affect was a blessing just to be in her presence.Ther was more to her than Jesus loves you and so do I. Jesus used her in a special way she was totaly devoted. She seemed perfect but she also let me know that as she seemed (perfect in my eyes and others)That during her years on Gods earth there were trials and tribulations ups and downs But Jesus always came through for her as He will you and I. God Bless her and her family and friends
To say that Grandma Ruth was loved and will be missed is an understandment...She was such a special woman. We can still remember the first time we heard her say "Remember God loves you unconditionally and so do I" she had just met us, but already she was instowing God's love in all of us. She is now with her heavenly Father and we are sure that she is smiling down on all of us and saying dont be sad that I am gone, but rejoice that I am no longer in pain and am able to love you from above. My God grant you strength and wrap his loving arms around you during this very difficult time.

It seemed so strange on Sunday not to stop and pick up Grandma Ruth for Church. She was always such a ray of sunshine. We will definately miss her and her smile.
Ruth was such a fine example of the love of God! We thought so highly of her and know that she will be greatly missed in your lives.
I remember Mrs Woodard from the days I grew up on Main street and the many hours that my brothers and I spent playing with Walter, Tommy and Billy. My prayers will be with the family during this time.
I lived in the appartment across the hall in Indian Village Apartments. I would always smell the freshly baked bread that she would make. She always gave me a loaf. I miss being her neighbor. You are in my thoughts during this time.
Great-Aunt Ruth was a true blessing to all. I was fortunate enough to find her and have many talks with her. "God loves you unconditionally", and so do I Aunt Ruth!
Missing you so much...our friendship on earth was much too short but so enriching. I know that you are rejoicing in heaven and reunited with so many. That gives us comfort, God loves you unconditionally and so do I just doesn't quite seem the same....Thanks for touching so many people with God's love and yours. For I go to the garden alone...white the dew is still on the roses..Comforted by the fact that you are in the heavenly kingdom that waits for us all.
