Ruth L. Nielsen's Obituary
Ruth L. Nielsen, 94, of Camanche passed away Monday, August 2, 2021 at the Alverno – Clinton.
Funeral Services will be 11:00 am, Thursday, August 5, 2021 at the Camanche Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes & Crematory. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery. Ruth Lucille Larsen was born August 24, 1926 in DeWitt, Iowa, the daughter of Carl and Marie (Jurgensen) Larsen. She attended Clinton Community Schools and then married Kenneth Nielsen on July 9, 1950 at the Elvira Zion Lutheran Church; he passed away on July 8, 2008.
Ruth worked for the Collis Company in Clinton for 38 years as a welder and in machine tool shipping; retiring in 1987. She enjoyed playing the guitar, boating when her husband was still with her and spending time with family and friends.
She is survived by her two nephews David Larsen of Camanche and Tim (Mary) Nielsen and niece Nancy Nielsen of Clinton. Ruth was preceded in death by her parents, husband and one brother Walter Larsen.
