Ruth A. Goodell's Obituary
Ruth A. Goodell, 92, of Clinton, passed away, Thursday, October 26, 2023 at the Wheatland Manor with family at her side.
Funeral Services will be 10:00am, Saturday, November 4, 2023 at the First Baptist Church – Clinton. Burial will be in the Clinton Lawn Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Bob Goodell, Terry Goodell, Nick Powell, Dane Seitz, Greg Seitz and Jerry Danzinger. Visitation will be Friday from 4:00pm to 7:00pm at the Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes & Crematory.
Ruth Arlene Miller was born on October 25, 1931 in Clinton, Iowa, the son of John and Virginia (Mercer) Miller. She was a 1949 graduate of Clinton High School. She married Richard Goodell on February 27, 1954 in Clinton; he died on July 6, 1987.
Ruth worked at Medical Associates in patient accounts from 1972 until retiring in 1988.
Ruth was a life long member of the First Baptist Church – Clinton, serving in many ways including the finance board and singing in the choir. She served on the board of the Benevolence Society for 26 years, sang with the Clintones, and was a member of Wa-Tan-Ye.
Ruth is survived by her children: Randy (Karen) Goodell of Kettle Falls, Washington, Robert (Deb) Goodell of Kewaskum, Wisconsin, Terrance Goodell of Clinton, and Lynn (Greg) Seitz of Clinton; nine grandchildren 16 great-grandchildren; and her sister: Jackie (John) Malone – Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, and two sisters.
Memorials can be made to the First Baptist Church.
