Ruby M. Lotspeich's Obituary
Ruby M. Lotspeich, 93, of Clinton passed away Friday, February 3, 2023 at her home.
Funeral Services will be 11:00 am, Wednesday, February 8, 2023 at the Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes & Crematory. Visitation will be from 9:30 am until the service time at the funeral home. Her urn will be buried at the Clinton Lawn Cemetery at a later date. Ruby M. Lotspeich was born September 23, 1929 in Rural Clinton County, Iowa, the daughter of William and Melinda (Petersen) Gerds. She was a 1946 graduate of Elvira High School. She married Russell Anderson on June 5, 1949; he preceded her in death on September 21, 1956. Ruby then met the love of her life and married Adam Lotspeich on May 28, 1978; he preceded her in death on September 17, 2010.
She started working at the Clinton Credit Bureau in 1951 as a reporter then later became the manager til it closed in 2005. She then worked for Allied Business Accounts until 2007 when she retired at 78 years old. Ruby was a member of Zion Lutheran Church. She was a lifetime member of the Eagles Club, Moose Lodge and the chaplain for the Auxiliary at the Amvets. She loved to travel with Adam and enjoyed time spent bowling, golfing and dancing.
Although she never had children of her own, she is survived by her husbands children: John (Peggy) Lotspeich of Gilbert, Arizona, Susan Waddingham of Ohio, Nancy (Albert) Paciotti of Phoenix, Arizona, Barbara (Steve) Proctor of Spring Hill, Tennessee and Wayne Tanner of Mesa Arizona; many nieces and nephews; and good friend Teresa Wright of Clinton.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister Esther Gerds Rickertsen and stepdaughter Constance Tanner.
