Rosemary Waterman's Obituary
Rosemary M. Waterman, 88, of Clinton, died Tuesday, August 11, 2009 at Mercy Medical Center, South Campus, Clinton. Mass of the Christian Burial will be 11:00 am, Saturday, August 15, 2009 at the Sacred Heart Chapel of Prince of Peace Parish with Father Thom Hennen officiating. Burial will be in the St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Wayne Waterman, Michael Podsiadlo, Christopher Podsiadlo, Lyle Bronkema, John Malone, and Patrick Malone. Visitation will be Saturday from 9:00 am to the service time at the church. The Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Home and Crematory is in charge of arrangements. Rosemary Margaret Malone was born on July 4, 1921 in Clinton, Iowa, the daughter of Russell and Irene (Flynn) Malone. She married Wayne P. Waterman on February 4, 1939 in Clinton; he died July 4, 1990. Rosemary and her husband managed various apartment complexes in Clinton and Camanche for many years. Rosemary volunteered many hours at the hospital and was active in Penny Pinchers. Rosemary is survived by two daughters: Janet (Arthur) Podsiadlo of Geneseo, Illinois, and Roseanne (Richard) Reap of St. Petersburg, Florida; one son: Eugene Waterman of Clinton, Iowa; a daughter-in-law: Betty Waterman of Camanche;10 grandchildren, 3 step-grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, 6 great-step grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild; one sister: Molly (Lyle) Bronkema of Clinton, Iowa; two brothers: John (Jackie) Malone of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and Patrick Malone of Clinton, Iowa. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one son, three brothers, one grandson, and one great-granddaughter.
