Rosemary Sparks' Obituary
Rosemary Sparks, 87, of Clinton, passed away, Saturday, August 31, 2013 at the Alverno.
Memorial Services will be 10:30am, Saturday, September 7, 2013, at the First United Methodist Church - Clinton. Visitation will be from 9:30am to the service time at the church on Saturday. The Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes & Crematory is in charge of arrangements.
Rosemary Wiseman was born on May 24, 1926 in Des Moines, Iowa, the daughter of Charles and Lucile (Swayzee) Wiseman. She graduated from Roosevelt High School in Des Moines in 1944. She then attended the University of Missouri graduating in 1948 with a degree in journalism.
Rosemary married John Lee Sparks on August 6, 1949 in Des Moines, he preceded her in death on September 8, 2001.
Rosemary was a member of the First United Methodist Church, the Antiquers, the Clinton Art Association, the Creative Writers Club, Tri-S Womens Club, and an Agatha volunteer.
Rosemary is survived by her daughter: Lynn Goers (David) of Morton, Illinois; her grandchildren: Megan (Goers) Bomer (Bradley) Pekin, Illinois, and Justin Goers (Elizabeth) of Robbinsdale, Minnesota; a great-grandson: Samuel Goers; her brother: Calvin Wiseman of Granger, Iowa, and a sister: Charlotte (Wiseman) Hayes (James) of Loveland, Colorado.
Rosemary was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.
Memorials can be made to the First United Methodist Church.
