Rosemary Cowan's Obituary
Rosemary B. Cowan, 92, of Clinton, died on Thursday, October 7, 2010 at the Eagle Point Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Clinton. Mass of the Christian Burial will be 10:30am, Monday, October 11, 2010, at the Prince of Peace Catholic Church with Father Ken Kuntz officiating. Burial will follow in the St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery, Clinton. Serving as pallbearers will be Chuck Fuegen, Matt Fuegen, Jim Fuegen, Burton Van Zuiden, Joe Claseman, and Gerard Fuegen. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Clarence Fuegen, Stan Wytrwal, Josh Van Zuiden, and Bernie Holtkamp. Visitation will be Sunday from 3:00-7:00pm at the Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes and Crematory. Rosemary B. Bruns was born on October 5, 1918 in Brookville, Indiana, the daughter of Ben and Mary (Lithman) Bruns. She married Gordon C. Cowan on March 3, 1945 at St. Bernard’s Catholic Church in Cincinnati, Ohio; he died July 5, 2001. Rosemary was a homemaker. Rosemary was a member of Prince of Peace Catholic Church and a member of the Altar and Rosary Society. She enjoyed caring for her flowers and garden. She also enjoyed bowling and fishing. Rosemary is survived by two daughters: Patricia (Charles) Fuegen of Morrison, Illinois, and Jacqueline Cowan of Glenwood, Iowa; two grandchildren: Matt (Ashlee) Fuegen of Clinton, Iowa and April Fuegen of Morrison, Illinois; 2 great grandchildren: Andrew and Elizabeth Fuegen; two sisters: Leona (Len) Kalb of Cincinnati, Ohio and Ruth Mergenthal of Brookville, Indiana and one brother: Tim Burns of Brookville, Indiana. Rosemary is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one son, and 8 brothers. Memorials can be made to the Glenwood Resource Center.
