Ronald H. Neblung's Obituary
Ronald H. Neblung, 83, of Clinton, passed away, Thursday, May 20, 2021 at Prairie Hills – Clinton.
Per his wishes his body was donated to the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics – Iowa City, Iowa. A private celebration of life will be held. The Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes & Crematory is assisting the family.
Ronald Harold Neblung was born on May 13, 1938 in Fort Wayne, Indiana, the son of Maxine Schmidt. He was a graduate of LaPorte High School – LaPorte, Indiana. He married Mary Ann Blankschein on May 24, 1959 in LaPorte.
Ron was a State Farm Insurance Agent in Clinton for 47 years from 1972 until his retirement in 2019.
Ron enjoyed traveling especially to the ocean.
Ron is survived by his wife: Mary Ann Neblung of Clinton, Iowa; his children: Mark (Peggy) Neblung of Clinton; Lori (Janene Bergen) Neblung of St. Joseph, Michigan, Scott (Heather Walker) Neblung of Davenport, Iowa, Amy (Lynn Roth) Neblung-Roth of Springbrook, Iowa; 9 grandchildren, and many great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his mother and one brother.
In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association. The family wishes to express their gratitude to Genesis Hospice and Prairie Hills for their care of Ron.
