Ronald D. Kehrberg's Obituary
Ronald D. Kehrberg, 77, of Clinton, passed away, Friday, January 3, 2020 at his home.
Funeral Services will be 10:30am, Thursday, January 9, 2020 at the First United Methodist Church – Clinton. Burial will be in the Clinton Lawn Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Jesse Van Loo, Michael Kehrberg, John Cleveland, Christopher Kehrberg, Lily Kehrberg, Jessalyn Kehrberg, Larry Kehrberg, and Jonathan Rounds. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Autumn Cleveland and Terry Cleveland. Visitation will be Wednesday from 4:00-8:00pm at the Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes & Crematory.
Ronald D. Kehrberg was born on October 21, 1942 in Kingsley, Iowa, the son of Emery and Charlotte (Powell) Kehrberg. He was a 1961 graduate of Moravia High School and a 1965 graduate of William Penn College in Oskaloosa. He married Patricia Woodward on June 10, 1965 in Oskaloosa.
Ronald was employed at Ralston Purina for 33 years retiring in 2003. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church, a Boy Scout leader and a Silver Beaver award recipient. He was a foster parent for over 100 children since 1975. Growing up on a farm he loved to hunt, and walk his dogs.
Ronald is survived by his wife: Patricia of Clinton; three children: Scott (Nan) Kehrberg of Ft. Dodge, Iowa, Shannon (Michelle) Kehrberg of Clinton, and Sharla (John) Cleveland of Roby, Texas; eight grandchildren: Jesse, Michael, Lily, John, Jessalyn, Christopher, Autumn, and Terry. Two brothers: Robert (Ella) Kehrberg of Centerville, Iowa, and Lyle (Linda) Kehrberg of Moravia, Iowa; and nieces and nephews: Robert, Jennifer, Shawn, Trisha, Diane, Meridith, Sherrie, Sherry, Leslie, Tina, Larry, Jason, Dan, Lori, and Johnathan; and his beloved dogs: Bear and Gunner. He was preceded in death by his parents.
