Ronald L. DeWeerdt, 70, of Fulton, passed away, Wednesday, February 1, 2017 at the Alverno.
T
here will be no services or visitation; per his wishes his body has been cremated. Burial will be at a later date at the Rock Island National Cemetery. The Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes & Crematory is in charge of arrangements.
Ronald Lee DeWeerdt was born on September 4, 1946 in Morrison, Illinois, the son of Fred and Bessie (Kettler) DeWeerdt. He was a 1964 graduate of Fulton High School. He served in the United States Army during the Vietnam era in Germany. He married Sally Witt on September 27, 1969 in Fulton, Illinois.
Ronald was employed at DuPont for many years.
Ronald is survived by his wife: Sally of Fulton and a brother-in-law: Dr. Paul Witt of Aurora, Illinois. He was preceded in death by his parents.
