Roline Bruhn's Obituary
Roline M. Bruhn, 82, of Camanche died Wednesday, October 12, 2011 at home. Cremation rites have been accorded and there will be no services. The Camanche Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes and Crematory assisted the family with the arrangements. Roline Meader was born on March 28, 1929 in Clinton, the daughter of John and Johanna (Luckritz) Meader. She was a 1946 graduate of Lyons High School and went on to graduate from Marycrest College with her BS and MA. She married Edward Bruhn on November 24, 1946 in Clinton; he died on October 27, 2000. Roline was a seventh and eighth grade teacher for many years having taught at Camanche Middle School, Fulton High School and Clinton Community Schools. She was a member of St. Johnâ??s Lutheran Church in Clinton. She is survived by two daughters: Dr. Marjorie Bruhn of Sioux City, IA and Elizabeth St. John of Camanche; one son: Eric Bruhn of Camanche; one granddaughter: Laura, one great-granddaughter: Raven; one sister: Eila Payson of Camanche; one brother: Merten Meader of Maryland and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two brothers and two sisters. Rolineâ??s family would like to give a special thanks to Mercy Hospice and Dr. Barakat for all of their care and compassion over the last few months.
