Roland W. Smith's Obituary
Roland W. Smith, 81, of Fulton, Illinois, died Tuesday, January 2, 2018 at his home.
There will be no services or visitation, the Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes & Crematory is assisting the family with arrangements.
Roland was born on November 15, 1936 in Winona City, Winona County, Minnesota, the son of Wilmer and Doris (Norton) Smith. He married Arlene June Mayberry in 1979; she passed away in 2011.
Roland worked at Robers Dredge in La Crosse, Wisconsin, before moving to Fulton where started working for Foley Construction in Clinton. He enjoyed going to Triple Play in Fulton to tell jokes and laugh with his friends.
Survivors include his brother: Roger, his sister: Leora; children: Vicky Whitten, Sheila DeVault, Cindy Uthe, Susan Schnider, and Jeffrey Smith; four grandchildren: Trace DeVault, Christina Schnider, Ryan Schnider, and Curtis Schnider.
Roland will be sadly missed by all.
