Roger A. Lessard's Obituary
Roger A. Lessard, 83, of Camanche, passed away Thursday, December 30, 2021 in his home.
A visitation will be Friday, January 7, 2022 from 10:00am to noon at the Camanche Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes & Crematory. Burial will be in the Rose Hill Cemetery – Camanche, with a lunch following at the Camanche Bowling Alley. Online condolences may be expressed by visiting his obituary at www.snellzornig.com.
Roger Allen Lessard was born on October 13, 1938 in Rockton, Illinois, the son of Elmer and Vivian (Rooth) Lessard. He was a radioman in the United States Navy for 8 years. He married Constance Tayek on January 11, 1985 in Clinton.
Roger worked for IBM as a technician, a long haul truck driver, and retired from JT Cullen in Fulton in 2001. He loved fishing, golfing, bowling, riding his bike to visit friends around Camanche, and spending time at the bowling alley visiting.
Roger is survived by his wife: Connie of Camanche, his son: John (Cina) Lessard of Camanche, his daughters: Cindy Frederick of Camanche and Pam (Tom) Bitler of Albany; his sisters: Marilyn Patzer of Washington and Carolyn Ball of Florida; 8 grandchildren, four great-grandchildren; his sister-in-laws: Virginia Meana of Marquette and Patricia Voss of Clinton, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers: Barton and Douglas; and his in-laws: Benjamin & LaVerna Tayke.
