Rodney J. Mitchell, 69, of Camanche passed away Monday, June 22, 2026 at Eagle Point Health Care - Clinton.
Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes & Crematory is honored to serve the Mitchell family. Per his wishes there will be no services.
Rodney John Mitchell was born November 20, 1956 in Savanna, Illinois, the son of Robert and Joyce (Dickinson) Mitchell. He married Dianna Hood and they have been married for 38 years. He worked in a steel plant for many years. He enjoyed fishing, doing yard work and spending time with his family.
Rodney is survived by his wife Dianna Mitchell of Camanche; two children: Melody Mitchell of Clinton and Joshua (Lindsay) Mitchell of Fulton; one sister Sena Schoenig of Savanna, Illinois; step-children: Gena Bouchard of Camanche, Keith Stenulson of Camanche, Sherry Goodwin of Clinton, Paula (Todd) Wells of Apopka, Florida, Bob (Jayne) Stenulson of Camanche and Jerry Stenulson of Camanche; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother Bobby Mitchell.
