Roberta Bruhn's Obituary
Roberta M. Bruhn, 80, of Clinton died Tuesday, October 13, 2009 at Mercy Medical Center in Clinton. Funeral services will be 11:00 am Monday, October 19, 2009 at the Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Home and Crematory. Visitation will be from 2:00pm-4:00pm Sunday, October 18, 2009 at the Clinton Chapel. Burial will be in Clinton Lawn Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Robert Abshire, Dennis Duerling, Roger Bentley, Jim Bruhn, and grandsons Michael Temple, Matthew and Brett. Roberta Mae Armstrong was born on November 1, 1928 in Clinton, the daughter of Andrew and Honore (Wood) Armstrong. She was a 1946 graduate of Clinton High School. She married Jack Arthur Bruhn on October 5, 1947 in Clinton; he died on August 20, 2008. She had been employed with Nielsen’s Clearing House in Clinton for 22 years, retiring in 1990. She was a former member of Saint Paul Lutheran Church. She loved to read, cook, and spend time with her family. Survivors include her daughter, Linda Temple of Clinton; son Andrew Bruhn of Clinton; grandsons, Michael (Becky) Temple of Clinton and Matthew and Brett; great grandchildren, Thomas, Abby, and Benjamin Temple and Autumn; one sister, Betty Abshire of Clinton; one brother, William Owen of La Costa, CA; 2 brothers in law, Donald Bruhn of West Des Moines, IA and Gerhardt Jensen of Clinton, and one sister in law, Helen Bruhn of Clinton. In addition to her husband Jack, she was preceded in death by her parents and her stepmother Beatrice Armstrong. Memorials may be made to the family.
