Robert Waugh's Obituary
Robert C. Waugh, 69, of Eagle Rock, Missouri, formerly of Clinton, died Saturday, December 5, 2009 at the Mission Regional Medical Center, Mission, Texas. Funeral Services will be 11:00am Tuesday, December 15, 2009 at the Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Home and Crematory. Burial will be in the Clinton Lawn Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Ron Johnson, Adam Nielsen, Katrina Durham, Ray Johnson, Eric Sanders, and Marty Sanders. Honorary pallbearers will be Wilfred Smithson, James Gerber, and Dick Veeslink. Visitation will be Tuesday from (time) to the service time at the funeral home. Visitation will be Tuesday from 9:30am to the service time at the funeral home. Robert Charles Waugh was born on April 13, 1940 in Maquoketa, Iowa the son of Myrle and Mildred (Heneke) Waugh. He married Sharon Meyer on April 18, 1959 in Green Island, Iowa; she died on May 27, 2000. He later married Mona McDonough on June 9, 2002. Bob was a 1958 graduate of Delmar High School. Bob was a semi truck driver for Driver’s Service in Chicago for 35 years. Bob enjoyed doing things for others, being a campground host, sitting on the porch at the cabin telling stories, watching the humming birds and playing with his best friend Addie. He loved trucking. Bob is survived by his wife Mona, of Mission, Texas; one daughter: Carolyn “Callie” (Ronald) Johnson of Denison, Iowa; one son: Michael (Vickie) Waugh of Rogers, Arkansas; 3 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren; two step-sons: Eric Sanders of Betonville, Arkansas, Marty (Tabitha) Sanders of Anderson, Arkansas; four step-grandchildren and two step-great grandchildren; one brother: Gary (Wanda) Waugh of Bartelsville, Oklahoma; and several nieces and nephews and friends near and far. Bob was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Sharon; and one sister Carol.
