Robert J. Severin's Obituary
Robert J. Severin, 94, of Camanche passed away Monday, September 5, 2022 at Hope Creek Living Center in East Moline, Illinois.

Robert John Severin was born January 7, 1928 in Cedar County, Iowa, the son of Raymond and Hilda (Sonnemaker) Severin. He was a 1946 graduate of Lowden High School and attended Iowa State University. He served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict from 1950-1953. He married Patricia Dircks in 1950 and together they had three children, they were later divorced. He married Lola Struck on May 26, 2001; she preceded him in death in 2021.
Bob was a farmer in Cedar County for many years and then moved to Camanche and farmed his land there for more than 30 years. He was a member of Clinton Community Christian Church in Clinton and a lifetime member of the American Legion in Lowden.
He is survived by his three children: Stan (Becky) Severin of Lowden, Iowa, LIsa Severin of Peoria, Illinois and Brian Severin of Lowden, Iowa; three grandchildren: Patrick (Jennifer) Severin of Redding, California, Shari (Neil) Slaton of Lowden, Iowa, Sandy (Scott) Kallaus of Solon, Iowa; nine great grandchildren: Nick (Madalyn) Severin, Scott Severin, Maddison (Canin) Moshier, Shelby (Zack) Kaufman, Tristan Slaton, Tatum Slaton, Alli Kallaus, Carson Kallaus and Samuel Kallaus, and three great great grandchildren: Madalyn Severin, Nixon Moshier and Maverick Moshier; step-children: James (Julie) Willey of Esterville, Iowa, Steven (Marcia) Willey of New Ulm, Minnesota, Jeff (Janet) Willey of Femme Osage, Missouri and Debra (John) Cotney of Helena, Alabama; 28 step grandchildren; and 37 step great grandchildren. Bob was preceded in death by his parents, sister Vera Lewis and his two wives.
