Robert L. Schipper's Obituary
Robert L. Schipper, 85, of Davenport, passed away, Wednesday, February 25, 2026 at his home in Davenport.
Funeral Services will be 11:00am, Tuesday, March 3, 2026 at the Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes & Crematory. Burial will be in the Garden Plain Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be his grandsons: Micheal Feldpausch, Jesse McDaniel, James Tanner, II, Robert Feldpausch, Jr., Anfernne Ranson, and Derone Combs. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Jonathan Schipper, Max Ramsey, and Kevin Susie. Visitation will be from 10am to the service time at the funeral home on Tuesday.
Robert Lee Schipper was born on September 6, 1940 in Morrison, Illinois, the son of Jacob and Ethel (Hamm) Schipper. He married Leona Lahmon on July 29, 1972 in Low Moor; she passed away on February 19, 2020.
Robert was employed at Oscar Meyer for over 30 years as a sanitation tech. He also worked at Bennett Box and Central Steel. He was an avid bowler and enjoyed camping. He also was a past commissioner with Boy Scouts of America and helped with the Salvation Army.
Robert is survived by his children: Robert (Sue) Feldpausch of Davenport, Charles (Carol) Feldpausch of Andover, Iowa, Cathy Feldpausch of Davenport, Mary Reed of Davenport, Linda (Tony) Ramsey of Clinton, Gabe (Beth) Schipper of Davenport, Richard Schipper of Monroe City, Missouri, Joe (Donna) Schipper of Mesa, Arizona, Tammy Schipper of Dolton, Ohio, Sheila Salzman of California, and Mike (Nancy) Schipper of Maquoketa, Iowa; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren. In addition to his wife he was preceded in death by his parents, two sons, two daughters, six brothers, and one sister.
