Robert J. Reed's Obituary
Robert J. Reed, 76, of Clinton passed away, Sunday, September 19, 2021 at Genesis East Medical Center – Davenport, Iowa.
Funeral Services will be 1:00pm, Thursday, September 23, 2021 at the Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes & Crematory. Burial will be in the St. Mary’s Cemetery with military honors being conducted by the Clinton AMVETS Post #28. Serving as pallbearers Gary Watts, Shane Ries, Joe Wenzel, Brad Behrens, Joe Schneeberger, and Dylan Schneeberger. Visitation will be Wednesday from 4:00-8:00pm at the funeral home.
Robert Joseph Reed was born on February 8, 1945 in Muskogee, Oklahoma, the son of Robert and Sarah (Ward) Reed. He was a 1963 graduate of Clinton High School. He also attended Clinton Community College. He served in the United States Army from 1964-1967. He married Dollie Morrison on March 22, 1969 in Clinton.
Robert worked at International Paper as a pressman from 1967-1999. He also worked at Hy-Vee for 14 years. He was a former member of the Moose. He enjoyed bowling, fishing, and traveling down south with Dollie. Most importantly he enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Robert is survived by his wife: Dollie of Clinton; three daughters: Terri (Joe Schneeberger) Andersen of Clinton, Jamie (Gary) Watts of Clinton, and Staci (Brad) Behrens of Teeds Grove, Iowa; 6 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren; and his brother: Paul Reed of Clinton. He was preceded in death by his parents and a great-grandson: Sky Looney.
