Robert J. Petersen, 95, of Fulton passed away Saturday, November 2, 2024 at his home in Fulton.
Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes & Crematory is assisting the family with arrangements.
Robert John Petersen was born August 11, 1929 in Clinton, Iowa, the son of Peter H. and Irene (Tosh) Petersen. He was a 1947 graduate of Clinton High School. He attended the University of Iowa and earned his Law Degree from Iowa Law School. He married Diane Ehlert on September 18, 1955 in Clinton, Iowa, and together they had two children.
Bob worked as a lawyer and owned and operated Abstract & Title Guaranty Company for many years. He enjoyed watching the Iowa Hawkeyes and was an avid golfer. He enjoyed traveling, especially going on cruises and spent many winters in Siesta Key, Florida with his wife.
He is survived by his wife of 69 years Diane Petersen of Fulton; two children: David (Donna) Petersen of Cedar Rapids, Iowa and Sue Petersen of Iowa City, Iowa; and two grandchildren: Christopher (Corey) Petersen of Tiffin, Iowa and Sara Petersen of North Liberty, Iowa. He was preceded in death by his parents.
