Robert A. "Bob" Marik's Obituary
Robert A. “Bob” Marik, 79, of Camanche, Iowa passed away, Thursday, January 30, 2014 at Mercy Living Center South, Clinton. Services will be 10:30AM Tuesday, February 4, 2014 at the Camanche Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Home & Crematory. Visitation will be 4-7PM Monday, February 3, 2014 at the Camanche Chapel. Burial will take place at a later date.
Bob was born August 4, 1934 in Chicago, Illinois, the son of George and Mary Pauline (Volenac) Marik, Sr. He moved to Charlotte at the age of 14 and was a 1952 Charlotte High School graduate. He married Karla Rickertsen on July 30, 1977 in Charlotte, Iowa.
Bob was an owner/operator truck driver most of his life. He also leased to other companies including Western. He retired in 1995.
He is survived by his wife, Karla of Camanche, IA; son, Kevin (Joy) Marik of DeWitt; daughters, Robin Flynn and Tammy Marik both of Camanche; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; two step grandchildren; four step great-grandchildren; brother, George (Verdella) Marik, Jr. of Marseilles, IL; step-brother, Terry (Sandy) Brooks of Camanche and nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two sons, Mark and Dean.
