I am deeply saddened to have just learned...at our 46th hs reunion...of Rob's death. RIP
We just learned of your passing, old friend. You had a love for the world. You had crazy perfect handwriting. You loved the theatre and helped us with set design for the very first production of "A Dress for Mona." And you're the only friend I ever had (not from New England) who would know and speak with great enthusiasm about Liberty Tool Co in Liberty, Maine. God bless you, brother, and speed you on your way. From Mark and Azi
Rob You Are in my heart and prayers always!!! I have missed our occasional walks. When your birthday card returned to me unable to forward my worst fears were confirmed. Yet I know you are in a better place! May peace in transcendence be yours forever! Love always!!! Janet Coester
Rob, you will always be a friend. Although we didn’t talk much over the years, you were someone who ‘told it as you saw it’. We struggled through math class together at Whittier School. You and I to saw Crosby, Stills and Nash in concert at Iowa State. You came to my Dad’s funeral. You were just a good guy. God bless you Rob Koop.
I was so shocked to hear this news. Rob was like a brother. Over the years, he would just show up at my door. Over the years we shared many laughs and many tears. Will miss you friend.
I will miss our long conversations on a broad range of topics. Always interesting, enlightening, and thought provoking. Rob was always quick to share his ideas and a great fan of all genres of music. We shared the joy of a few symphony concerts over the last 23 years. I looked forward to his impromptu visits that were always longer than expected but somehow never long enough! Sadly, his light burned out before its time.

Mist of us just always knew you as Koop. I will always remember our long talks about life and the trials and tribulations of it. I also loved your lengthy letters written in the worlds smallest yet perfect handwriting that you almost had to use a magnifying glass to read. You were always one to not just go along with the crowd and always did it all your way. Rest in peace and give your. I’m and a hug for me
Rob, remembering Pie, Monte Python, and riding our Saburban Schwin 5 speeds around town. RIp Rob.
You will be missed.
Robert, I have known you since I was 10. You were always there for me, from pulling me out of bad parties, binge watching Monty Python, music events, through all my moves, you stayed with me after my daughter was born, stayed up with me till all hours of the night talking religion and philosophy, grilled burgers at my daughters graduation, and this is just a very small list, spanning over 40 years. I will remember your goodness and faithfulness, not your illness, your love of good cars, good food, good music and enlightened conversations and good pens. My heart is full. Thank you and love you brother.

I am profoundly sad to learn that Rob has left us at such a young age. It was a great pleasure to have spent time with him and am thankful that he was able to be a part of my life and so many others. Fall Track Lives!
