Robert A. Hyde, 58, of Clinton, died Friday, January 1, 2010 at the home of a friend. Private Family Services were held. A Memorial Gathering will be at Jonsey’s on Sunday, January 10, 2010 at 2:00pm. The Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes and Crematory is in charge of arrangements. Robert Andrew Hyde was born on February 3, 1951 in Clinton, Iowa, the son of Robert and Geraldine (Reiling) Hyde. He was a graduate of Clinton High School. He was a veteran serving in the United States Army. He was a greens keeper at the Clinton Country Club. He was an avid Chicago Cub, Detroit Lions, and Iowa Hawkeye fan. He enjoyed playing golf. He is survived by a son: Robert (Heather) Parker of Clinton; two grandchildren; 2 sisters: Mary Jo (Doug) Fowkes of Clinton, and Jan Stojek of Geneseo, Illinois. He was preceded in death by his parents, and two sisters.
