Dear Jane,
I had the privilege of working a DuPont with Brick in the casting department. Your right he never met a stranger. But also, he never judged anyone. When many at DuPont were critical of me for my support for strikers at Clinton Corn/ADM, he not only didn't criticize me, he also defended me on several occasions. Your father was a really good man! He will be greatly missed. My prayers are with you.

We are so saddened to hear of the loss of your wonderful father, Robert. Of course we knew and loved him as "Brick" over all the many years of our friendship at DuPont and after retirement. What a TRUE GENTLEMAN in every sense of the word. Brick kept us connected to life in Clinton after we moved to North Carolina. Newspaper articles and warm, friendly phone calls to and from Brick allowed us to keep in touch with our Clinton friends. We will miss our dear friend Brick, but know that he is happy now with your mother, his beloved Barbara.
