Robert "Bob" Allan Judge's Obituary
Robert “Bob” Allan Judge, 82, of Clinton, passed away Tuesday, May 28, 2019 at the Alverno, Clinton.
Robert Judge was born October 25, 1936 to Allan and Irene Judge. Happily believing he would be an only child, he was pleasantly surprised when siblings Mary Clair (Jerry Harmon), Rosie (Dick) Wentworth and Joe (Debbie) Judge came along. They loved their big brother and will miss him dearly.
He attended St. Patrick’s grade school, St. Mary’s high school and Barber School in Des Moines. With this education he owned and operated Bob’s Barbershop for 50 years.
Bob was a very lucky man who was fortunate enough to marry his high school sweetheart Mollyann Herrity on August 19, 1955. He was also a man of great wealth, as he and Molly had six kind and loving children: Madonna (RD) Judge-Parks, Christine (Greg) Lackerman, Rosemary Giunta, Allan Judge, Sue Williams, Teresa (Jeff) Dunham and Kevin Judge. And let’s not forget, Bob and Molly’s life of amazing adventures herding kids, grandkids and great grandkids.
He will be missed by those adventurous grandchildren, their spouses and great grandchildren: Molly Parks♥, Sarah (Mark) Lackermann Mastrodicasa (Amelia, Ava, Gulianna), Will (Julie Mangelsen) Lackermann, Salvatore (Jennifer) Giunta (Lilly, Vincent), Mario Giunta, Katie (Brad) Caldbeck (Sophie, Griffin), Katelyn Judge, Shamus Judge, Clinton (Marilyn) Dunham, Mollymarie (Tye Hoffa) Dunham (Cameron), Colin Dunham, Charlotte Dunham, Jennifer Clark and Karen Lackermann. He will also be missed by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and his motley crew of friends from his St. Patrick and St. Mary’s school days, along with the many friends, young and old, and 50 years of patrons at Bob’s Barbershop.
Bob loved family, horses, Johnny Cash and singing Irish lullabies while walking sleepy babies. We would like to share those images, songs and tall tales at a Celebration of Dads Life. Family and friends please join us on Sunday, July 28th 1:00-4:00PM at his son Kevin’s home at 719 North 10th Street, Clinton, Iowa. The Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig is assisting the family with arrangements. Online condolences may be expressed by visiting www.snellzornig.com. In remembrance of Robert Judge, please take a favorite senior to lunch.
