Robert A. Bailey's Obituary
Robert Allen Bailey, 60, of Maquoketa passed away Tuesday, May 18, 2021 at Crest Ridge Care Center in Maquoketa.
Visitation will be Friday, May 21, 2021 from 4:00-6:00pm at the Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes and Crematory. Online condolences may be expressed by visiting his obituary at www.snellzornig.com.
He is survived by eight siblings: William (Dawn) Bailey of Fulton, Illinois, Candy Yocum of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Rhonda Bailey of St. Peters, Minnesota, Joseph (Lavrie) Dannatt of Clinton, Harry Louis of Clinton, Michael David of Illinois, Cathy Ann of Missouri and Laura Lynn of Iowa.
Bob was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents, his mother and father, as well as four siblings: George Leroy, William Wilson III, Sherry Lynn and Melissa Diane. He was also preceded by many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Robert died in his room at Crest Ridge Care Center in Maquoketa, Iowa. He struggled to return to his normal after battling COVID-19 but he just could not make it. His poor body finally gave out on him even though he fought so hard to stay with us.
Robert, you are free and at peace now. We will miss you greatly but are so glad you are no longer suffering.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the funeral home to help with his final expenses.
