Robert D. Althaus' Obituary
Robert D. Althaus, 59, of Camanche passed away, Thursday, February 24, 2022 at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics – Iowa City, Iowa.
A Visitation will be Monday, February 28, 2022 from 4:00-7:00pm at the Camanche Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes & Crematory. To honor his love of the Iowa Hawkeyes, black and gold attire is suggested. A celebration of his life will be held at a later date.
Robert Dale Althaus was born on June 22, 1962 in Connecticut, the son of Robert and Dale Althaus. He was a 1980 graduate of Camanche High School. He met the love of his life, Lin Fosburg in 2008 and the rest was history, they were married on April 27, 2013 in Camanche.
Bob was currently an electrician at Arconic. He had also worked with Local 145 as an electrician. He enjoyed playing golf, and was an avid Iowa Hawkeye, Dallas Cowboys, and NASCAR fan.
Bob is survived by his soulmate: Lin of Camanche and his son: Matthew. He was preceded in death by his parents, and his sister: Rhonda.
Memorials can be made to the Clinton Humane Society or the American Cancer Society.
