Richard Truninger's Obituary
Richard L. Truninger, 77, of Thomson, Illinois, died Monday, June 22, 2009 at Eagle Point Nursing Home, Clinton. Private Family Burial will be held at the Savanna Township Cemetery. The Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Home and Crematory is in charge of arrangements. Richard Lowell Truninger was born on January 24, 1932 in Savanna, Illinois, the son of David and Mildred (Traum) Truninger. He married Ruth Ann Brennan; she died April 1, 2006. Richard was a graduate of Savanna High School and a veteran of the United States Army serving in the Korean Conflict. Richard farmed outside of Thomson most of his life. Richard is survived by two daughters: Sue Ellen Cauley of Fulton, Illinois and Marcia Leonard of Fulton, Illinois; two sons: Patrick (Rita) Cauley of Savanna, Illinois, and Steven Truninger of Wisconsin formerly of Zion, Illinois; 8 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. Richard was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, one brother and one sister.
