Richard C. Seeser's Obituary
Richard C. Seeser, 87, of Clinton, passed away, Monday, January 27, 2020, at MercyOne – Clinton.
Funeral Services will be 10:30am, Saturday, February 1, 2020 at Zion Lutheran Church – Clinton. Burial will be in the Clinton Lawn Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Randy Seeser, Brent Seeser, Sean Seeser, Rick Skiff, Dennis Skiff, and Larry Kramer. Visitation will be Friday from 3:00-7:00pm at the Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes & Crematory.
Richard Charles Seeser was born on January 28, 1932, the son of Arthur and Evelyn (Hansen) Seeser. He was a 1950 graduate of Clinton High School and Clinton Community College in 1952. He attended Iowa State University.
Richard owned and operated his own dairy business Hilltop Farms Dairy. He also had a home delivery route in the Clinton area. In 1990 he purchased C & M Refrigeration, which continues today by his grandson Chad. He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, and the Clinton County Extension Council, the Cattleman’s Association at the national and state level, a charter member of the 4H Club, and the Camanche Successful Farmers. He enjoyed the outdoors enjoying nature, especially his dogs and doing his chores. He traveled to Mexico and Egypt.
Richard married T. Corinne (Brown) Salisbury on April 4, 1981 in Clinton. In addition to his wife he is survived by his children: Douglas (Carol Jasper) Salisbury of Aurora, Illinois; Diane (Bill) Sweeney of Savanna, Illinois; grandchildren: Chad Sweeney, Michael (Samantha) Sweeney, Jacob ( Haley) Sweeney, Alex Salisbury, Jillian( Sam) Carrozza, and Kara Salisbury; great-grandchildren: Allison and Carter Carrozza , Thea and Spencer Sweeney; his brothers: Gordon Seeser of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, and Harlan (Brenda) Seeser of Clinton; his sister-in-law: Artie Seeser of Clinton; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; his sister: Arthera Skiff, and his brother: Jack Seeser.
Memorials can be made to the Clinton Humane Society.
