Been praying for Rick and his family, after learning of his recent health issues. Happy I was able to visit him last week, & talk to him over the summer.
Rick's been a great neighbor, citizen, patriot, father, grandfather and husband. He was proud to have been able to work with my Dad as a Boy Scout leader, and helped our family in many ways through the years. He served our community and country with pride.
I had the pleasure of driving him to Georgia last Christmas so he could be with Sarah and her family. In that 12 hour drive, I was fortunate to get to understand more about what made Rick the great neighbor he was. We shared a lot of stories and became better friends. We had discussed doing it again this year.. You always think you have more time.
Proud to be able to carry on our good friend and neighbor Steve Ivey's patriotic tradition this morning, by helping Dave E. and Jon L. unfurl flags along 3rd St, in honor of Rick.
