Richard L. Ranson, 80, of Rock Island passed away Sunday, January 4, 2025 at his home - Moline, Illinois.
Per his wishes there will be no services or visitation. Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes & Crematory is assisting the family.
Richard Lee Ranson was born August 14, 1945 in Rock Island, Illinois, the son of Si and Margaret (Lane) Ranson. Richard married Donna Criswell; they were later divorced. He attended Rock Island Community Schools. He worked at IH Case for more than 30 years. He enjoyed playing golf, nice cars and watching sports, especially basketball and football.
He is survived by his daughter Nikole (Brad) Kaup of Clinton; granddaughters: Sydney (CJ Finley) Kaup of Norway, Iowa and Ava (Tyler Daniels) Kaup of Coralville, Iowa; special cousins: Stephanie and Deb; and his caretaker Jane Keeley.
Richard was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers: Danny Ranson and Davie Ranson.
