Richard L. Paasch's Obituary
Richard L. Paasch, Sr., 74, of Clinton passed away Friday, December 7, 2018 at Mercy Medical Center – Clinton. With his family by his side, Richard said goodbye to this world.
The immediate family invites all those who knew and loved Richard to join them at the “Celebration of Life” Party on January 26, 2019 from 4:00 to 7:00 pm at Legends Sports Bar and Grill in Clinton, Iowa. There will be more details to follow closer to the date of the service. His urn will be buried at the Rock Island National Cemetery at a later date.
Richard Leon Paasch was born January 21, 1944 in Maquoketa, Iowa, the son of Raymond and Maxine (Mills) Paasch.
Preceded in death by his parents, a son George Raymond, and his wife of 39 years Judith (Yedinak) Paasch.
Richard is survived by his brother Robert (Chris) Paasch, 2 half-brothers Allen (Twila Lawrence) Hansen and Warren (Patti) Hansen; eight children: Regina (Gary) Paasch-Meyer, Rebecca (Robert) Harding, Richard (Gloria) Paasch Jr., Jacqueline (Patrick) Keller, Michael (Karen) Paasch, Edward (Lachelle) Shaw, Michael Shaw and Anthony (Ronald) Paasch; 18 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; and his current wife and mother of his older children Jeanne (Crane) Paasch.
Richard worked for Rock Tenn for 35 years retiring in 2013. He served in the United States Marine Corp from 1963 to 1965. He loved time spent with family and friends, riding his motorcycle and playing cards.
