Richard "Opie" Callihan's Obituary
Richard "Opie" Callihan, 47 of Camanche, passed away Tuesday, October 14, 2025 after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer.
Visitation will be Monday, October 20,2025 from 4:00-7:00pm at the Camanche Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Home and Crematory.
Richard Jacob Callihan was born on September 10,1978 in Morrison IL to Ronald and Ellen (Null) Callihan.
Opie has been a Millwright with Local 5128 in Bettendorf Iowa for the last 15 years.
He was also very passionate with his artwork and tattooing.
Opie had a love for so many things. His number one love of all was his children. He also loved camping, fishing, riding his Harley just to name a few. He loved anything that included spending time with his friends and family. Opie was the most kindest, generous, soft soul you would ever meet.
Opie is survived by his parents, Ron and Ellen Callihan of Morrison IL, his children Jacob Callihan of Clinton IA, Janessa Callihan of Morrison IL, Jacquelyn Callihan of Morrison IL, and Emma Callihan of Camanche IA. A grandson Ezra Anglin of Morrison IL. His significant other, Corrie Callihan of Geneseo IL, along with her family: Jordan Grater, Blake Bergman, and Madyson Brabson of Geneseo IL. And a paternal grandfather Terry (Michelle) Hileman of Aledo IL.
He was proceeded in death by his son Jesse Callihan,and is grandparents.
