Richard Gilpatrick's Obituary
Richard A. Gillpatrick, 84, of Manor, Texas, formerly of Clinton, died Wednesday, April 18, 2012 in Columbia, South Carolina. Memorial Services will be 11:00am, Friday, June 8, 2012 at the Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes and Crematory. Military honors will be conducted by the Clinton AMVETS. Richard Allen Gillpatrick was born on January 30, 1928 in Gettysburg, South Dakota, the son of George and Ida (McClelland) Gillpatrick. He married LaVerne “Jonnie” Johnson on August 16, 1952 in Iowa City, Iowa; she died October 20, 1999. Richard was a veteran of the United States Army serving from 1950-1952. Richard was a rigger at Clinton Corn Processing for many years. Richard is survived by two daughters: Nina Rogis of Manor, Texas, and Nancy Terry-Pepper and her husband Harrison Pepper of Columbia, South Carolina; two grandchildren, and two sisters: Ruth Fagen of Humboldt, Iowa, an Dorothy Harris of Bellevue, Nebraska; and several nieces and nephews. Richard was preceded in death by his parents, wife, and brothers, and sisters.
