Richard S. Farr's Obituary
Richard S. Farr, 49, of Camanche, passed away, Saturday, December 14, 2013 at Mercy Medical Center – North Campus.
Funeral Services will be 10:30am, Wednesday, December 18, 2013 at the Camanche Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes & Crematory. Burial will be in the Rose Hill Cemetery- Camanche. Serving as pallbearers will be David “Chip” Hamilton, Joshua Bailey, Stephen Bailey, John Toureene, Darrell Davis, Mike Mussman, Carl Foley, Guy Holden, and JJ Bauscher. Visitation will be Tuesday from 6:00-8:00pm at the funeral home.
Richard Steven Farr was born on April 17, 1964 in Clinton, Iowa, the son of Don and Ellen (Bandixen) Farr. He was a 1982 graduate of Camanche High School.
Richard was employed with Timken/Drives in Fulton as a machine operator for the past 16 years.
Richard was a member of Cause Church-Clinton. He was a major advocate of suicide prevention and awareness and an organizer of the Speak Out Against Suicide group. He enjoyed camping and fishing with his children and working on computers. He enjoyed going to auctions with his friend Darrell Davis.
Richard is survived by two daughters: Bailey Farr and Peyton Farr of Fulton; two brothers: Robert (Bonnie) Farr of Clinton, and Roger (Barbara) Farr of Clinton; his in-laws: Stephen & Bonnie Bailey of Fulton; and several nieces and nephews including: Chelsy, Ciara, and Emma Farr.
Richard was preceded in death by his parents; his son Jordan (12-19-2011) and his grandparents.
