Richard "DIck" Mann's Obituary
Richard L. “Dick” Mann, 64, of Camanche died Friday, March 19, 2010 at Mercy Medical Center in Clinton. Funeral services will be 10:30am Tuesday, March 23, 2010 at the Camanche Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Home and Crematory. Visitation will be from 4-8:00pm Monday at the Camanche Chapel. Burial will be in Clinton Lawn Cemetery where military honors will be conducted by the Clinton AMVETS. Pallbearers will be Chuck Wilson, George Horst, Jim Kempter, Mike Zubaty, Justin Mills, Ryan Killean, Jon Lynch, and Dave Killean. Richard LeRoy Mann was born on May 25, 1945 in Savanna, IL, the son of Richard Daniel and Winifred May (Kindred) Mann. He married Rita Killean on April 26, 1969 at St. Mary’s Church in Clinton. He was a 1963 graduate of Sabula High School and attended Clinton Community College. He had been employed with the former Millennium Petro Chemicals “Lyondell” for many years. He was a United States Army Veteran, serving from 1966-1968 during Vietnam. He was a member of the Clinton AMVETS, Ducks Unlimited, and Sabula Methodist Church. He loved camping, being on the river, and was an avid hunter and fisherman. He is survived by his wife Rita of Camanche; 4 daughters: Lori (Chuck) Wilson, Lisa (Mike) Zubaty, Jenny (Jon) Lynch, and Stephanie (Justin) Mills, all of Camanche; 9 grandchildren: Lindsay, Jessen “Punky”, John, Jakob, Whitney, Billy, Kevin, Joe, and McKenna; 2 brother in laws: Pat (Lindy) Killean of Cedar Rapids, and Kevin (Cindy) Killean of Camanche, and sister in law Diane Draper of Camanche. He was preceded in death by his parents, infant son Michael, one brother Donald, one sister Genevieve, one nephew Danny, special aunt Edith, and several aunts and uncles. Memorials may be made to the family.
