Richard D. Campie's Obituary
Richard D. Campie, 79, of Camanche, Iowa, passed away Friday, March 17, 2023 at Select Specialty Hospital, Davenport. Services will be held at 11:00AM Friday, March 24, 2022 at the Camanche Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Home & Crematory. Visitation will be held from 9:30 until the service hour Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Clinton Lawn Cemetery. Richard’s seven grandsons will be pallbearers. Richard was born July 9, 1943 in Clinton, Iowa, the son of Paul and Belva (Flack) Campie. He was a Camanche High School graduate. Richard married Donna Scott in 1969 in Camanche.
Richard was employed with Chicago and Northwestern Railroad and later with Union Pacific Railroad for more than 38 years, retiring in 2000.
Survivors include his wife, Donna; children, Rich (Christy) Campie; Steve (Amy) Campie; Stacy (Larry) Allen all of Camanche and Rich (Barb) Seighman of Omaha NE; 11 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren and his sister Georgia Ann Koranda of Camanche.
Richard was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and one sister.
