Raymond Shaw,'s Obituary
Raymond W. Shaw, Sr., 83, of Camanche, died, Monday, June 8, 2009 at his home. Visitation will be Thursday, June 11, 2009 from 5:00-7:00pm at the Camanche Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Home and Crematory. There will be no services, cremation will follow the visitation. Raymond Willard Shaw was born on November 18, 1925 in Savanna, Illinois, the son of Harry and Laura (Belle) Shaw. He married Barbara A. Flack on May 29, 1947 in Camanche; she died January 31, 2003. He was a veteran of the United States Army serving in World War II. Ray was a member of the Operating Engineers Local #537/150. Survivors include five daughters: Cynthia (John) Michaelsen of Sherwood, Arkansas, Teresa (Marvin) Rasmussen of Clinton, Elayne Shaw of Camanche, Sheila (David) Waldorf of Clinton, Kathleen (Dru) Beal of Clinton; three sons: Paul (Debbie) Shaw of Cmanche, Jeffrey (Rhonda) Shaw of Camanche, and Raymond (Erika) Shaw, Jr. of Camanche; 21 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren, and two brothers: Donald (Ann) Shaw of Camanche and Dwight Shaw of Camanche. He was preceded in death by his wife, his parents, and one granddaughter. Memorials may be made to the family.
