Raymond L. Moore's Obituary
Raymond L. Moore, 74 of Clinton, Iowa, died Saturday, December 31, 2016 at the Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House, Bettendorf. His body has been donated to the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics.
A celebration of Raymond’s life will be held Saturday, January 7, 2017 from 3:00PM to 6:00PM at the Camanche Imperial Lanes, 1823 South Washington Blvd, Camanche, Iowa. Online condolences may be expressed by visiting his obituary at www.snellzornig.com.
Raymond was born October 8, 1942 in Clinton, Iowa, the son of Raymond and Generose (Weick) Moore. He was a graduate of Clinton High School and Iowa State University in chemical engineering. Raymond had been employed at Excelon, retiring in 1998.
Ray enjoyed boating and fishing on the Mississippi River. Being the engineer; he could always find a novel, inventive way of making things work. Ray enjoyed the challenge. Watching both his kids and grandkids in sports brought him much joy. He was always their biggest fan. Generosity was second nature whether it was his time, talent or support. He will be remembered for his loving support for his immediate family after his father's early death.
Survivors include his son, Jeffrey (Jennifer) Moore of Camanche, Iowa; daughter, Jessica Moore of Chicago, Illinois; grandchildren Jordan Moore and Julia Moore and sisters, Barbara (Tom) Montgomery of Peoria, Illinois; Donna Dawson of Clinton, Iowa and Mary Ries of Clinton, Iowa.
Raymond was preceded in death by his son, Michael Moore, his parents and sister, Sandra Orte.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Camanche Fire Department or the Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House, Bettendorf.
