Raymond Charles Graham's Obituary
Raymond Charles Graham, 93, of Davenport and formerly of Clinton, Iowa, died Wednesday, December 11, 2019, at Senior Star, Davenport. There will be no visitation, private services will be held. Raymond was born July 17, 1926 in Clinton, Iowa, the son of Raymond and Edith (Lancaster) Graham. He was a 1944 graduate of Clinton High School. Raymond was a United States Army veteran, serving with the 24th Infantry Division in the Philippines and Japan.
Raymond was a project superintendent for 30 years with Fred Peterson Construction Company/Contracting Corp of Illinois, Moline Illinois. He was a member of the carpenters union since 1962.
Raymond married Edith Scott in 1948 in Clinton; he later married Anna DeMay in 1973 in Annawan, Illinois and later married Elaine Shaw in 1989 in Davenport.
Survivors include his wife, Elaine of Bettendorf; children, Barbara (Dave) Jeffrey; David (Lynette) Graham and Lynn Tibbetts all of Clinton; step-children, Rodney (Heidi) Shaw of Hampton, Illinois; Rhonda (Dennis) Jennings of Davenport, Iowa; Diane Switzer of Peoria, Illinois; Denise Minnaert of Silvis, Illinois; Dorene Lay of Atkinson, Illinois and Darren DeMay of Minneapolis, Minnesota; six grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren and four step-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and first wife Edith.
Memorials may be made to the Humane Society or a favorite charity.
