Randy D. Thornton, Jr., 37 of Clinton passed away Thursday, February 24, 2022 at the University of Iowa - Hospitals and Clinics.
Funeral Services will be 11:30 am, Tuesday, March 1, 2022 at the Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes & Crematory. Visitation will be from 10:00 am until the service time at the funeral home.
Randy Douglas Thornton was born February 11, 1985 in Clinton, Iowa, the son of David and Ralene (Shepherd) Ludvigsen. He was a 2003 graduate of Northeast High School. He owned and operated RDT Construction and most recently worked for Jabs Construction.
He was an avid San Franscisco 49ers fan. Enjoyed discing and fishing. He loved spending time with his family and took great pride in being a Dad. He especially enjoyed time spent grilling and eating.
Randy is survived by his parents David and Ralene Ludvigsen of Clinton, children: Britney, Carson, Caleb, Izabella and Parker; paternal grandfather: Phillip Hoaglund of Clinton; fiance: Catherine Brewer of Clinton; siblings: Jessica Everson of Clinton and Cassandra (Bobby) Lucy of DeWitt; several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles; and best friend Derek Brick.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents and maternal grandparents.
