Phyllis Rettkowski's Obituary
Phyllis J. Rettkowski, 82, of Clinton, died Wednesday, March 26, 2008 at Mercy Medical Center, North Campus.
Funeral Services will be 2:00pm, Friday, March 28, 2008 at the Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Home and Crematory. Burial will be in the Clinton Lawn Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Earl Farrell & Arnold(Butch)Krogman. Visitation will be from noon to the service time at the funeral home.
Phyllis Joyce Rinker was born on April 9, 1925 in Chicago, Illinois, the daughter of Ralph and Florence (Zerneke) Rinker. She married Myron LeRoy Rettkowski on April 27, 1946 in Burlington,Iowa, he later died on February 11, 1975.
Phyllis was a graduate of Burlington High School. She was a homemaker and also was employed at Nielsen?s Clearing House as a processor.
Phyllis enjoyed playing cards
She is survived by a daughter: Patricia (Allan) Zastrow of Keokuk, Iowa; one son: Ted (Cheryl) Rettkowski of Clinton; her daughter-in-law: Dorothy Rettkowski of Sabula, Iowa: two grandchildren: Kelley(Aaron) Michalski and Andrew W. Zastrow; and her brother: Daniel (Virginia) Rinker of Cotton Wood, Arizona
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her son Michael, and one brother: Richard.
In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to the charity of their choice.
