Petronela Klimczyk's Obituary
Petronela ?Nela? Klimczyk loving ,caring, faith-filled wife and mother, died peacefully
in the Lord on Sunday. March 30, 2008 at 9:30 pm at the Alverno Nursing Home, Clinton.
Nela was born on February 18, 1928 in Lysiec, Poland, the daughter of Wladyslaw and Anna (Debald) Jablonski. She married John F. Klimczyk on May 11, 1946 in Guttngen, Germany; he later died January 2, 1998 in Clinton.
She worked as a nursing technician at Mercy Hospital from 1953 until 1991. She will be missed by many friends, co-workers, acquaintances, and the staff and residents of the Alverno. Her gracious smile, sincere kindness and generosity will be long remembered and appreciated.
She is survived by her sons, Waldemar Klimczyk, and daughter-in-law Berta, and granddaughter Rachel Marie; of Janesville, Wisconsin and by Fr.Leon Klimczyk S J, Jesuit priest currently in pastoral ministry in Minneapolis Minnesota.
The funeral with the Mass of the Resurrection will be on Saturday. April 5, 2008 at 10:30am, at the Prince of Peace Parish St. Mary?s Catholic Church. Interment will be at St. Joseph?s Cemetery in DeWitt, Iowa , followed by a luncheon at St. Boniface Hall. Visitation will be Friday from 4:00pm to 8:00pm at the Schmitz Funeral Home with a prayer service at 7:00pm
The family requests that memorials be made to Alverno Nursing Home.
